New Apple products announced

Apple unleashed a handful of new and updated products today. CPU speed boosts to the iMac line mean that even the entry level machine can do H.D. with FCP. A new 27" LED Cinema Display looks very nice. The big daddy is the 12 core (yes 12) top of the line MacPro machine. And the Magic Track Pad, a 4" wireless pad that gives you the same command scrolling/joggin/shuttling ability that the pad on a MacBook offers.  Could be useful for desktop editing.

Panasonic brings 3D cameras to consumers.

Consumer 3D camcorders are coming. Sony has already brought us a camcorder with a DSLR-type sensor, now Panasonic is bringing us consumer 3D acquisition. The most interesting part of this consumer technology explosion is the "trickle-up" effect it could have on the pro side of things. What will the pro camera builders offer to continue to justify the huge leap in price between consumer and professional?
