Avid unveils first phase of "New Thinking"

After shocking the industry by exiting NAB 2008, Avid has unleashed a jolt of "New Thinking."

The company announced it has streamlined it's product offerings - by closing the curtain on Xpress Pro and cutting in half the price of it's Media Composer software.

Xpress Pro customers can now upgrade for only $495 while the full Media Composer suite - including Boris Continuum Complete AVX - is now $2,495.
